Relaxing, excellent service and an unbeatable location

Breakfast was really excellent, so much choice. The small (quiet) pool was ideal for us as was direct access to the beach. The staff were excellent in every area of hotel service.

Food offering apart from breakfast was a little limited and expensive.

Luxurious stay in beautifu Muscat, I cannot wait to return.

Absolutely everything about the property was amazing. It is extremely stylish and exceptionally clean, a beautiful location on the coast with its own private beach, rooms are a decent size and the ensuite bathroom is excellent with a separate walk in shower and bathtub. The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I travel a lot and stay in 5* hotels mostly and this is definitely one of my favourites.

Excellent breakfast and evening meals. Great choice of high quality food. Different theme every night offered variety. Pool pleasant and near the sea so could chose which you prefer. All facilities were excellent and staff incredibly friendly. Room was large, clean and well laid out

Everything is amazing! The location with the private beach, the infinity pool, the restaurants, the breakfast and the modern rooms. But what makes it worth the prize is the level of service. The people are really doing everything in their power to make your stay perfect.

Confirmation of the very positive first visit 2 years ago

this is the hotel with probably the best breakfast we had in our life (and we have seen lots of hotels). It has 2 great pools, a Spa and sports facilities. The staff is super friendly, special shout-out to Monica, Evan and Daniel who hosted us for the Spanish evening. The food quality is that of an average European brasserie; but the portions are big like all portions you get in Oman.

Omani like airco, so you have to get used to 20°C inside, while it is 30° C outside. But the look of the central hall, and the outside dining facilities compensate for this minor detail.

One of the best hotels we've ever stayed in. Amazing for adults and kids alike!

- Friendly, helpful staff who are amazing with kids and made our 4 year old daughter feel so special thank you! - Room was made available many hours before the usual time of 3pm. Which we were very grateful for having not slept on an overnight flight! - Fabulous view of resort and sea from room. - Quiet, soundproofed room. - Kids club availability and facilities. Our daughter was excited to attend! - Incredible buffet - amazing selection, something for everyone (and we are big foodies!). Loved the themed nights. Good to be able to use the half-board allowance to put towards meals in the Indian and Thai restaurants too. - The room was really big and felt luxurious, comfy bed. Pillow menu and all the extras offered for room comfort were brilliant (once we discovered this using the QR code on the key!). Lots of lighting options in the room, which was great when needing a nightlight for our daughter. - 3 lovely swimming pools, probably the warmest pools we've ever been in (the main one was like a bath!). Great to have the calmer cascade pool to enjoy while our daughter was at kids club, and the shallow pool for our daughter, as well as the main one of course! - The atmosphere and vibe of the whole resort and especially the Zale bar was amazing. - Water! I'm somebody who loves to keep hydrated and this is often tricky when abroad and unable to drink the tap water. Not a problem at the Kempinski! Constant bottled water brought to room, poolside (and in a little coolbox!). Brilliant. Simple pleasures (Just hope all the plastic bottles are recycled). - Loads of places to sit and relax. - The whole resort was clean and smelt lovely. - Great gym facilities. - Very close to the airport.

Not much! Only a couple of minor points: - Communication could have been a little better. Upon booking, we requested an additional bed in the room for our daughter and also sent a reminder email a few days before arriving, but when we checked into our room, the bed was not there and the room was set up for 2 people only. This wasn't ideal as we were all extremely tired from an overnight flight and needing to sleep. It was quickly corrected though. Also, we don't recall anyone telling us that all the visit info was only available electronically (by scanning the QR code on the room key) so we only discovered this halfway through our stay and therefore missed valuable info in the first few days (e.g. that other pillows were available, which was important to know as we struggled to sleep with those provided). This is also applied to the kids club - e.g. we were told by one member of staff we had to fill in a form everyday, but we were only given it some days. We asked if the children get taken outside (because our daughter is very fair-skinned so we wanted to know if we should provide suncream/hat/glasses for her) and were told that they stay inside (which we were happy with) but our daughter then told us that one member of staff had taken her out to play in the playground. It always seemed to be a safe environment but these inconsistencies made us feel a little on edge and gave the impression that some staff were more qualified / experienced than others. - Being really fussy...! A few more hangers in the room as we had 3 not 2 people. And bigger bathrobes as they were quite small (especially for a man!). Wondered if they had shrunk a little in the wash. But this is nitpicking!

Excellent location and facilities for solo travellers, couples and families. My partner and I had a lot of fun at the pools, the bowling alley and at the sports bar. Staff are extremely courteous and helpful at all hours of the day and night.

Lovely hotel and staff. Great hotel design, with pool and beach access. Ideal for a quick getaway.

The design of the hotel is beautiful, even more so at night. The Omani and international staff were very pleasant and helpful. The location of the hotel is easily accessible, with parking on the property and an ATM on site. Pool and beach access is within 5-7 minutes from the bedrooms. We visited in June, during Eid. It was monsoon season, but still very pleasant despite heat and a bit of rain. The complimentary food served daily to guests of the hotel in the main hotel lobby was excellent!

The food at breakfast. Staff were overwhelmed. Lots of different food stations on offer, but the taste is not quite matching the expected standards of the hotel.
